Free form stories
It would be nice to be able to add free form stories, as an override, when needed. Sometimes I can not easily fit a story into the predefined, three block story template. In those cases being able to override that template and replace it with one big text area that supports free-form content entry would really be great.

Backlog and Sprint disappears.
I recently signed up and created an account. I spent about 45minutes creating a backlog, then created our first sprint. The backlog showed up as did "Sprint 1". I saw feedback and clicked it to check it out. After going back, my sprint and entire backlog is gone. This is frustrating as it completely disappeared, I imagine other first time users have this same problem.

Hi Drew, I'm sorry to hear this, but in the years we have been running easyBacklog no one has ever reported anything like that. If you provide me with some more information I can see what I can do to recover it as we don't actually delete any data permanently.

Upload stories to backlog?
Great product that is surprisingly comprehensive for such a simple interface - excellent UI work. However I often do requirement collection via other means - and would like to be able to upload an initial list of stories to a backlog?

It's actually surprisingly complex, and I'm just not sure it's going to end up saving you that much time as you'll spend as much time ensuring your Excel sheet fits a strict format as you would just entering the information into easyBacklog. It would really help if you could explain why you cannot enter into easyBacklog at the outset, and what these other sources may look like?

exporting backlogs with sprint tabs
Hi,
I've started using easybacklog properly over the past week, and like the export to excel for other people in the business. However it would be great if in addition to the whole backlog you could have multiple tabs of each sprint. The backlog export has a number of headers and blank rows meaning you can't just filter on a sprint which would be the other way of doing it.

Thanks for the good idea. We've taken on board your suggestion and modified the export feature of easyBacklog now so that it does the following:
- Uses Microsoft Xml Xls format for the spreadsheet allowing more complex spreadsheets to be built so that we could support this feature
- We now create two Worksheet Tabs when you export your Backlog, the first one "Backlog Report" is very similar to what you saw before. However, the second one "Story List" is a complete list of stories without spaces, and an Auto-filter applied to the top header row so you can filter the stories as you wish.
I hope this is what you were after. I think it's a nice improvement to the old Export system.

Thanks for the suggestion, however I am not sure what you mean by add spikes. What are you expecting when adding a spike? How will it effect the interface, the data, the reporting? If you could describe in some detail what exactly are you trying to achieve, then perhaps we can find a solution.

API consistency
It would be good to be able to retrieve a theme at /api/themes/{id}, rather than having to include the backlog id.
If I have a Story object, I only have the theme_id, not the backlog_id, so constructing the url for the story's theme isn't possible.

collapse themes in the backlog view
As a user, I want to be able to collapse/expand themes in the backlog view/tab, so that I can de-clutter my list and focus only the themes that are important.
When grooming the backlog, I want to collapse themes that I am done dealing with, to add more visiblity to the themes that need atention.

We've just launched a completely reworked interface for the story and theme tools, that includes the ability to collapse and expand themes.
