After trying to change the MAA code to SBF I got the following message.

Answer
Hi Martin

Sorry this has taken so long, but it's been a difficult bug to track down.  It turns out that with the particular web server that we use in production, there is an issue whereby the locale is persisted across sessions.  On our dev and testing servers, this is not an issue.

Thanks for pointing out the issue, and I believe it should be fixed now.

auto refresh screen when other users edit it

Michael Terkowski 12 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 12 years ago 3
As a user, I want to see changes made my other users to a backlog I am current viewing in realtime, so that I will be aware when someone else edits the same backlog.

Some ideas: It can be either an auto update in Ajax, or a a notification to refresh. (examples: google docs, pivotal tracker)
Answer
Hi Michael

As discussed in the comments, notifications are shown when another user is editing the same backlog.

In order to address the issue you had not noticing the pop up in the bottom of the screen, the alert icon now flashes when another user is editing the same backlog.

Multiple acceptance criteria per story

Michael Rose 9 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 9 years ago 1
It would be good if we I could document more than one acceptance criteria per story.

The purists might not like it but sometimes the permutation of splitting out a story on a very minor point is simply a pain so it would be easier to create multiple acceptance criteria that fulfil the same user story in a slightly different context.

theme info

Geert De Cang 12 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 12 years ago 0
I would like to add info on the Theme. Eg: some background info, link to a document or wireframe or ...
Answer
Hi Geert

You're not the first to have asked, see http://easybacklog.userecho.com/topic/90564-add-notescomments-for-a-theme/

However, we're not convinced it's needed at present. Can you tell us why it needs to be in there, and also think about where this type of info could be stored and displayed so as not to complicate things?  Probably best to post into the existing topic and I will close this one down.

The link explaining the 50%/90% estimation method is broken.

Dashboard > Create new backlog > text under the 59/90 estimation method

Thanks, we'll get that fixed ASAP.

Theme title overlay

Will 13 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 13 years ago 1
Creating a new theme brings up a new field but it overlays the edit icons without covering them fully (if that's the idea)

See attachment.

My browser version is below.

Answer
Yup, this is a minor bug.  However, once you have added the theme name you will see that the icons drop down to the correct positioning.  I will get this fixed in the next update.

API: original sprint commitments

Mike Pearce 11 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 11 years ago 0

Hi, is it possible to get the total number of stories points that was committed to when the sprint started? I'm not sure what the difference between these is

'total_allocated_points' => int 46
'total_expected_points' => string '22.0' (length=4)
'total_completed_points' => int 46
'explicit_velocity' => string '21'

Answer

Hi Mike

Total allocated points is a sum of the points allocated for that sprint based on the stories added i.e. what you have committed to deliver at the start of a sprint.

Total expected points is what you expect in a normal sprint to complete - i.e. this is either based on your velocity and team size, or it is specified manually for a sprint.

Total complete points is the number of points you have completed so far i.e. the number of stories marked as accepted.

Explicit velocity is present if you specify an expected velocity for the sprint as opposed to letting it be calculated for you.

Finally, please note that whilst some values appear to be strings such as "15.0", they are in fact decimals.  All values are decimals or integers.

User story as plain text line in the clipboard

Pierre Veber 10 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 10 years ago 1
I'd like to be able to copy a one-line user story in the clipboard to paste in email or source commits. That's very frustating to have to copy manually and re-arrange each story when commiting changes in Git and/or communicating with others.

example:
HOP2 As admin I want to track users who arrive on the home page via a campaign URL So I can measure the effectiveness of my campaigns
