acceptance criteria not printed

Roger Stich 8 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 8 years ago 2
Hi,

today i found out that sometimes easybacklog doesnt print all acceptance criteria. In these Case there where many criterias and there was just not enough room in that layout.

While i understand that you dont want to mess up your layout i think we need an solution for that. Because having many acceptance critrias for a userstory are nothing special in SCRUM. And printing is absolute critical, because the daily work has to be done at the Task Board with printet user story cards and then i need all criterias.

At least the absolute minimum is that i need a message or somekind of information that i have too many criterias to print the story.
(But this still doesnt solve the problem that i cant do anything about it)

Maybe if you print the userstory as many times as you need to print the criterias.
(e.g. criteria 1-5 at first card 6-8 at the second)

Hope you find an solution

Roger
Answer
Hi Roger

This should not happen.  The acceptance criteria should get really small, but not be cut off.  In fact, we introduced a fix for this some time back, so I am surprised to hear that you have experienced this issue.

Can you tell me which backlog (the ID in the URL) this is for, and which story, and I will replicate the issue and get this fixed?

Thanks,
Matt

API - Unauthorized

Lang Sepp 7 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 7 years ago 0

I tried to get acces to your API via HTTP request but I cant authorize me.

More informations on the image below

The request look like this:

Host: api.easybacklog.com
Accept: */*
Authorization: Basic XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Answer

We apologise, but we recently migrated a database and forgot to update the references with the API web service, meaning unfortunately all of our monitoring continued to work but all requests were going to an old database.

This is issue is now resolved.  Please post in here if this issue still persists.

Easybacklog is very attractive to our product owners. Please add support for Chinese so that our team members can use this tool.

Personas by project

Sara Tuna 6 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 6 years ago 0

Hi, i sugest that tipo of persona could be added by project and then associated in every story

Answer

But the list of personas automatically updates as you add in new personas, and then suggests existing personas.  I am not quite sure I understand the problem.

Scroll backlog and sprint independently in Sprint tab

Michael Terkowski 8 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 8 years ago 1
As a Scrum Master, I want to be able to scroll the backlog and current sprint lists independently, so that I could comfortably look for stories to add to the sprint, and add them in the right spot/order.

Right now, there is one scroll bar for the screen, forcing me to scroll once to find a story in the backlog, and then scroll again (while dragging my selected story) to find where in the sprint I want to place the story.

Cannot select text on the sprint stories page

Christopher Johnson 8 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 8 years ago 2
It is not possible for me to select any text on the sprint stories page. This is annoying. If I see there is an error in a card, I would like to copy the ID and send it to the guy maintaining the cards. Normally I would select, copy and paste. You have some css setting to block that. The browser I'm using is Chrome on osx.
Answer
Hi Chris

This is unfortunately an interesting problem.  The reason you cannot select text is intentional because the primary action within this view is to drag and drop items.  If we enable the selection of text, then when you try and drag and drop you may unintentionally end up selecting text instead of dragging and dropping.  To be honest, I think allowing text to be selected would be at the detriment of most users.

However, saying that, we're planning on introducing a feature whereby you can edit stories from within the sprint view.  When we introduce this, you could click on the edit button, select the text, and close the edit window.  Would that work for you?

Theme delete/re-numbering buttons

Ed Parslow 9 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 9 years ago 0
Currently the theme delete/re-numbering buttons don't display when you first create a backlog. You have to return to dashboard, then access the backlog again before they appear

Integrate another column in the user story

Mike Perez 6 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 6 years ago 1
Hi

the user stories are broken in tasks. Why there is no column like a tasks list to give some proposal on how to complete the user story?

thanks
Answer
Thanks for the feedback.  Do you mean like check boxes to keep track of what is completed?
