Sure, I don't envisage that would be a problem.  Let us have a think about how we could introduce this as I think this would be a nice additional touch that wouldn't impact those who don't use the field.
Out of interest, if this were an option, why do you not want this feature?
Thanks for your feedback Taylor.  We agree with you, we just need to schedule in the time to address this issue and allow prioritisation of stories separate from their themes.
What do you think about having a separate (optional) story title for each story that is bolded, and appears about the as a, i want to, so I can story description?
Hi Chris
Thanks for the good idea.  We've taken on board your suggestion and modified the export feature of easyBacklog now so that it does the following:
  • Uses Microsoft Xml Xls format for the spreadsheet allowing more complex spreadsheets to be built so that we could support this feature
  • We now create two Worksheet Tabs when you export your Backlog, the first one "Backlog Report" is very similar to what you saw before.  However, the second one "Story List" is a complete list of stories without spaces, and an Auto-filter applied  to the top header row so you can filter the stories as you wish.
I hope this is what you were after.  I think it's a nice improvement to the old Export system.
Thanks again for the feedback.

Matt
Hi metacentric
Thanks for the feedback.
Realtime.easybacklog.com is a real time long polling (works in all browsers whereas web sockets don't currently) that ensures that when two or more people are simultaneously making changes to a backlog they are notified of that. It's run from a separate domain to the main execution of web and AJAX requets an in all of our tests so far has not interfered with the web application at all.
Can you describe the problem you are experiencing? Also, what browser are you using on what OS?
Thanks,
Matt
Thanks for the feedback Mike
Hi Jonathan

Firstly I must apologise that we never replied to this post.  The notifications must not have worked as all 3 of your posts have not been answered, yet posts before & after have been.  I am not sure what happened, sorry for the delay.

In response to your point however, this is something we have considered, however for simplicity of the interface, and the user experience for most of our users, we opted to keep stories grouped by Themes only, and stories cannot be attached to other stories (epics).  When a story is too big (an epic), we recommend splitting the story anyway into smaller stories, thus negating the need for epics.

I do understand the need for this, however no one other than you is asking for it, so until we have sufficient demand justifying the added complexity, unfortunately I am going to have to say we're going to park this suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion, and if anyone else feels this is a needed feature, please say so we are aware of it.

Thanks,

Matt

This has been fixed and colours are included in the Excel export
