demo stops after first page - theme

Sherry Reynolds 13 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 13 years ago 1

Answer
Hi Sherry

Sorry to hear that it's not working for you.  I just emulated your user from our admin section, and tried the demo, and it seemed to work.

Can you tell me what what browser you are using?  Also, can you tell me what exactly happens when it stops working / how far you get?

Thanks,
Matt

Make font size bigger

Martin Georgiev 13 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 13 years ago 2

Set it to 12px at least - it makes everything more readable. It used to be bigger before.

Maybe add a button to let users choose.

Answer
Hi Martin

I have updated the font size, is that better?

Is it possible to let a caption about what is the meaning of the colour?

Mike Perez 11 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 11 years ago 1
when i'm choosing a color for user story i want to get clear what means this color
Answer
That's a nice idea, but we are intentionally trying to keep the interface as simple as possible.  I am concerned that it could be difficult to deliver this in the interface with adversely affecting everyone else.  We'll explore.

cannot undo move story in spring planning

Michael Terkowski 13 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 13 years ago 4
In sprint planning mode: If I drag a story from the backlog to the current and then change my mind it still gets added.

Steps:
1) Drag a story
2) Drop it back in the backlog pane (the right one).
Expected result: stay in backlog
Actual result: gets added to the sprint.

It is difficult to manual reverse that, because I have to hunt the current sprint for that story, and with no colors or other indications, it's really hard to know which story was that.
Answer
Hi Michael

I suspect I know what the issue may be, but would like to confirm before we find a solution for this.  I think what is happening is that you are dragging a story into the sprint, and when you do that, you'll notice that the story you are dropping drops onto a grey box that appears.  When you drag it onto the right, and you do not drop onto a grey box, it will in fact not come out of the sprint.  It will only come out of the sprint when you ensure you move the mouse to a point where the grey boxes appear on the right.  I think it would make sense to move a story out of the sprint if dropped into a non-grey box area, but I wanted to first check that that is the problem you are experiencing first.

Can you confirm please?

Drop or optimise requests for realtime-easybacklog.dotcloud.com

metacentric 13 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 12 years ago 2
There seem to be a number of operations that delay completion waiting for calls to this domain, which do not resolve. This causes unnecessary delay. It is not obvious to an end user why this is required.
Answer
Hi metacentric
Thanks for the feedback.
Realtime.easybacklog.com is a real time long polling (works in all browsers whereas web sockets don't currently) that ensures that when two or more people are simultaneously making changes to a backlog they are notified of that. It's run from a separate domain to the main execution of web and AJAX requets an in all of our tests so far has not interfered with the web application at all.
Can you describe the problem you are experiencing? Also, what browser are you using on what OS?
Thanks,
Matt

Any plans for a Mobile version ?

Stefan 12 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 12 years ago 1

iOS, Android or Windows 8 ?

Answer

Not really at the moment.  Looking at our stats and more importantly our feedback, there is just not enough demand to warrant the development needed.  What is your business case for a mobile version?

Field History

Kai Fett 10 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 10 years ago 1
It would be great to have a history behind the backlog and each story, so you can track who changed which field when.

It often happens that story points are estimated in a meeting and later a different value is found, it would be great to see who changed this.

Could be implemented as a list below each item :

Person A changed points from 20 to 30
Person B added Acceptance Criteria A
Person A changed "As" from "User" to "a user in country x"
...

Include progress in export

Jon Ellison 12 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 12 years ago 2
It would be really useful if I could include the current progress of stories in an export, particularly so I can see what was accepted or completed but didn't meet the acceptence criteria at the end of the sprint before moving stories into the next sprint

Answer

Thanks for your suggestion.

Do you mean a the Excel export?  If so, do you just want the status of each story in the export?
