Clicking a number in the points dropdown does not add the number to the field

Josh Fee 12 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 12 years ago 0
First, I believe that when you click on a points field the dropdown should come up automatically (right now you have to click on the field, then hit the down key).

Second, using the mouse to click one of the displayed numbers doesn't add the number to the field, but it does close the dropdown.
Answer
Hi John

I am not sure I agree that the drop down should be visible automatically as it can be quite disruptive for most users who do not rely on it.

However, you have a very good point about the drop down items needing to be clickable so we will look into this.  We are in fact using a standard JQuery UI component for this, so this may be tricky.

Shift-return does not create a soft carriage return in the Comments section

Sanford Dickert 12 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 12 years ago 0
I would like to add more than a continuous sentence in the Comments box.  Unfortunately, the Shift-return causes unknown tabbing characteristics.
Answer
Yup, unfortunately shift-enter and shift-tab can be used for navigation as well.

We recommend you use ctrl-enter or alt-enter to insert line breaks which works in criteria or comment fields.

Expand all for "view more" in sprint planning mode

Michael Terkowski 13 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 13 years ago 0
In Sprint planning tab, some stories has the button "view more" on their bottom left corner. It would be useful to have an "expand all" or "view more for all" that will expand the details for all the stories, giving us the maximum detailed view instead of having to go each story one by one and click "view more".
Answer
Ok, nice suggestion, will have to see if the interface allows for us to add this without making things too cluttered.  We will give this some thought internally and see what we can come up with

API: Get only updated content

Josef Biehler 11 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 11 years ago 5
Hello,
currently i am trying to build a mobile app that uses the EB API.
I want to cache all content local so the user doesn't need to load all the data every time he starts the app. But do to this, I have to know what changes are done since th last update. At the moment I cannot pass any filter parameter to the API requests. I would like to use a parameter like "last_updated" or something similar.

Are there any plannings for such a filter?

Best regards,
Josef Biehler
Answer
There are no plans for such a filter, but it could be added easily.  Which models / data records would you be doing a query like this on?
Out of interest, will this app be available to others, or only for internal use?

I want a 4x6 paper size for printing

Bryan Oakley 13 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 13 years ago 2
I want to be able to print directly to 4x6 note cards. Can you please add support? It looks like my only choice now is to print on paper then break out the scissors.

My team typically puts a story on one card and the acceptance on another, then we create a tape hinge so the acceptance can be folded under when taped to the board.
Answer
Hi Bryan

You're on of the few people I've chatted to who prints onto 4x6 cards, but that requirement seems sensible.  Are you not able to print double sided cards?

We will schedule support for this in the near future.

Translation standard text on cards

Carola Fichtner 13 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 13 years ago 5
For the standard text on cards (as..., I want to...) I would like to be able to translate these. (I could provide German translation)
Answer
Thank you so much for the translations Carola.

I have integrated German now into easyBacklog.  To enable German, log in, then click on Manage Account in the top right, and then select Germany German.  The fields in the backlog should now be in German.  Please do tell me if you spot any problems.
