Linking a project to some project documentation

It would be great to be able to link a project to some associated project documentation i.e. some wireframes, spec or brief.

Whether this is an upload to this site, or a link to a dropbox folder, google doc or something like that.  Just so you can easily associate the user stories to something...

Just a thought :)

Hey Adam

Can you not use the comments field for this?

We are in fact considering allowing people to upload documents directly to a story, but you can link right now.

Is a link in the comments (or acceptance criteria) not sufficient?  If not, would be good if you explained why.

Hi matt

Yeah potentially, hadn't really thought of that :)

Just sometimes you have a wireframe doc for the whole site ( a balsamiq or something similar) which applies to the whole project.

Maybe its just a case of adding a 'Project Description' or 'Project Background' section that allows you to put in a description and upload a couple of files, or link to a basecamp project or Google Doc or something like that.

Doesn't have to be overly complicated or technical

Ah, nice idea, perhaps Project Info Rich Text area that allows you to link and upload files would be good.  We'll consider this.
