Let's say that I apply a filter in backlog to hide the assigned stories. Later, I assign one of the stories to a spring and go back to the backlog. That story is still there, although it should be hidden according to the filter (hide assigned stories).

Ah, I've just checked our tests and we didn't have a test written for that, so no one picked up on that.  Thanks for pointing this out.  We'll push through a quick fix and will update you as soon as it's done.
