Support for the Swiss-French locale (ch-fr) for dates and numbers (prices in CHF)

Stefan 11 years ago updated by Matthew O'Riordan (Founder) 11 years ago 10

In Edit account, supported language settings (locales) do not include "Swiss-French" (ch-fr):

As a user

I want to display estimates in the swiss francs (CHF) currency

so that I show them to my team and customers

AC:

a) A number should appear as "1'000 Fr." (note the space between the number and the currency string)

b) If for some case a decimal is required, the number would appear as "1'000.25 Fr."

c) International currency code "CHF" is also acceptable (instead of "Fr.")

Hi

Support for Swiss-French has now been added.

Please can you review and tell me if this meets your requirements?

Thanks,
Matt

Planned

Sure, we'll add this soon.

Quick question though, would you want the language to be in French (i.e. the titles of the columns and the copy for As a, I want to etc.) or would you prefer that to stay in English?

Matt

Actually language is not that important, only regional settings (number, currency and date formats).

Ok, great, we'll implement that shortly.

Very good idea! Go for it

Yes, perfect.

Thanks!

Stefan

Actually, on second thought, it would be good to have "english with swiss french".

We work in both languages depending on the customer, but always in the CHF currency.

Generally speaking, the language and the currency should be separate settings.

Thanks,

Stefan

I agree, language and currency should be separate settings, and should also be configurable by backlog if required.  However, this will require some work so in the mean time we will add in Swiss English which will use the current locale settings but use English for the actual backlog.  I hope that will suffice until we can fix this?

Sure. Thanks!

Hi Stefan

Swiss English has been added.  Please confirm it works as expected.

Matt

Yes it does.

Thanks !
