As a user I would like to set "Points" for each story via a drop-down menu so that I don't need to memorize the fibonacci sequence.

This feature is now live in production.  When you land on a field, if you either start typing or press the down arrow, the Fibonacci list will be shown (assuming you are using a strict numbering scheme).

Shout if this does not work as expected.
Nice idea, sounds sensible.  As we don't want to slow down users who do like typing, do you think an auto-suggest drop down would suffice similar to the one that appears when you use the "As a" field in the story?
Matt - I think that's a good idea.  Ideally, it would be an input box which opens a dropdown when it gains focus and also places a blinking cursor in the box.  This way, users can type and they see all the options for what they could type.
Ok, we will implement something when we get a chance.  Unfortunately this is not a high priority item at the moment, but I promise it will get done as soon as we can.
I like it, just please don't make it difficult to not use the fibonacci sequence. My team doesn't like it and I don't want force them into it.
Hi Shaunty

You know that you don't necessarily need to adhere to the Fib sequence.  If you look in Backlog settings, you will see that you can choose alternative point scoring systems.

We'll come up with a solution shortly for this.

Matt
I do, I just wanted to make sure you knew that some people like that feature a whole lot. :)
Yup, all done now, if you use Fib or Modified Fib then the drop down appears.

As a User, I would like to have a hint about this feature so I don't have to search the forum to discover it :-)

Maybe a little grey down arrow on the right of the input box when active?

Awesome tool!
